CBDN organised a presentation of the Caucasian Bouquet in Gyumri on September 3, 2010. Apart from local dignitaries, among the guests were the Head of the European Commission Delegation to Armenia Ambassador Raul de Luzenberger, representatives of British, American, Italian and Russian Embassies, and local NGO and business community. The guests enjoyed Caucasian wine in a friendly atmosphere that was accompanied by the classical music played by local musicians. The presentation took place simultaneously in two adjacent premises – the CBDN Office and a nearby supermarket.
The event provided a good opportunity to showcase the Caucasian Bouquet initiative along with CBDN’s other regional brands such as Caucasian Cheese and Caucasus Tea.
CBDN’s common Caucasian brands are aimed at popularising the idea of regional economic cooperation and promoting the role of economic (f)actors in peacebuilding. The guest audience showed great interest not only towards the regional wine-label but CBDN as a structure and its growing work across the South Caucasus. The presentation received wide coverage in the print media and TV.
The event was supported by the International Alert and funded by the Conflict Prevention Pool of the British Government.
