On December 6th 2014, the Caucasus Business and Development Network participated in a charity Christmas bazaar, organised by the International Women’s Association Yerevan. The bazaar, which is organised every year, took place in the Artists’ Union. As well using proceeds to support projects such as the Goris Women’s Development Resource Foundation, and other programmes that focus on the development of regions in Armenia through business and culture, the event provides the opportunity for various NGOs and charity organisations to raise awareness about their own work.
Christmas songs in English and Armenian, performed by talented musicians, lent a festive atmosphere to the event. CBDN took part with the presentation of the Caucasus Brands ‘Caucasus Tea’ and Caucasus herbal tea. Visitors to the bazaar showed great interest in the work of the Network, and had the opportunity to find out more about our goals, methods, format and products. We tirelessly answered their questions and provided them with our CBDN brochures, as well as boxes of Caucasus Tea to enjoy at home.
Members of the press, civil society organisations and the diplomatic community also visited our stall with interest. US ambassador to Armenia, John Heffern, was among the visitors to our stand. His presence at the event throughout the first half of the day contributed a great deal to raising its profile. He admired the presentation of our stand, and revealed that he was already well acquainted with the network and with many aspects of our work, and wished us every success.
