Between 29th of June and 1st of July 2011, CBDN organized a Food Expo in Kars, Turkey with the aim of promoting Turkish-Armenian and South Caucasian business relations and regional economic cooperation and dialogue.
Around thirty Armenian, Georgian and Turkish businesspeople had a chance to introduce their products during the exhibition, exchange information and develop new contacts. The fair featured different types of cheeses, meat products, honey products, teas and wines. CBDN’s Caucasus Tea and Cheese and Bouquet were also presented and attracted special attention with their unique concept and regional format.
Representatives of local government, civil society, businesses people and media attended the exhibition.
On the last evening the organisers co-hosted a wine tasting event in locally well-known Kar Store. The evening brought together representatives of government and non-governmental institutions, businesspeople and wine experts over a glass of wine, a chance to taste delicious South Caucasus cheeses and to enjoy the local music. The event provided yet another chance for participants to extend their business reach and make valuable new contacts.
The event was generously supported by the Black Sea Trust for regional cooperation.
